Horizon Investments Announces Two Key Promotions
Mike Dickson named Head of Research & Product Development; Zachary Hill named Head of Portfolio Management
CHARLOTTE, N.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Horizon Investments, LLC, is today announcing two key promotions among its senior investment management team.
Mike Dickson has been named Head of Research and Product Development, while Zachary Hill has been named Head of Portfolio Management. Both promotions are effective immediately.
Dr. Dickson has been part of the Horizon team since 2015, most recently as Head of Portfolio Management. In his new role, he leads Horizon’s systematic strategy and process design for all investment strategies managed by the firm. He also oversees research efforts focused on quantitative methods and strategies to support Horizon’s investment process for current strategies, risk management and new product development. Additionally, Dr. Dickson serves as a Portfolio Manager for several of the firm’s mutual funds, sub-advisory relationships and model portfolios. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, publishes frequently in scholarly journals and speaks on numerous topics, including empirical asset pricing, portfolio construction and factor models, at industry and academic conferences.
Mr. Hill joined Horizon in 2019 as Global Macro Strategist. In his new role, he oversees all investment strategies managed by Horizon across the firm’s mutual funds and model portfolios. He also continues to contribute research on a global macro level that informs investment decisions across Horizon’s investment strategies, and he represents the firm’s investment management team to both internal and external partners and stakeholders. Prior to joining Horizon, Mr. Hill held senior roles with Cold Spring Asset Management and in the Foreign Exchange Division of Wachovia/Wells Fargo.
