plocate Is A Much Faster locate (Drop-In Replacement For mlocate)
plocate is a newer, much faster locate (tool to find files on the command-line). it’s a drop-in replacement for mlocate in nearly all aspects, including reusing the mlocate database, and is fast on SSDs and HDDs alike.
