The Zemba Companies Acquires Geiger Materials and Launches Zemba Materials: A Circular-First Materials and Aggregates Company
ZANESVILLE, Ohio & GAHANNA, Ohio–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Zemba Companies announced today the acquisition of the assets of Geiger Materials located at 1000 Leavitt Service Road in Gahanna, Ohio. In conjunction with the transaction, the company is combining this new Columbus Recycle Plant and its Dresden Aggregates and Valley Clay Mining operations to form Zemba Materials, a circular-first construction materials and aggregates company, that will provide innovative solutions for managing and repurposing construction debris and will be a trusted source for high quality recycled materials.
As part of this commitment, Zemba Materials has become a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), enhancing its role as a leader in sustainable construction practices. This membership aligns with the new capacity to give new and existing clients a solution that provides an opportunity to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification through the responsible disposition of construction debris and the use of recycled aggregates.
By utilizing its new and existing operations, Zemba Materials is uniquely positioned to provide a closed-loop solution for construction materials, benefiting both the environment and the construction industry.
