Buzz Oates Taps Industry Veteran to Lead Buzz Oates Construction

SACRAMENTO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Buzz Oates is pleased to announce Denny Boom will become President of Buzz Oates Construction, Inc. “Our partners are thrilled to have Denny join us to lead Buzz Oates Construction into its next generation of opportunity and growth,” said Larry Allbaugh, Buzz Oates CEO.


Mr. Boom has over 30 years’ experience in design-build, design-assist, and hard bid commercial construction. He started his career in 1988 with Nathan Construction in Sacramento, California as a concrete laborer before becoming an Assistant Project Manager and then Project Manager. In 1991, Denny formed Boomer Construction, Inc., a design-build general contracting firm also headquartered in Sacramento. In its short, three-year history, the company grew to 125 employees and approximately $65 million in revenue.

In 1994, Boomer Construction, Inc. merged with 3 other active affiliates to form Panattoni Construction, Inc. (Alston Construction today) where he was named CEO. Denny and his executive management team oversaw the growth of the company, expanding to 22 offices across the United States with over $650 million in annual revenue and 350 plus employees. Under his leadership, the company built more than 120 million SF of projects valued at over $3 billion dollars before stepping down in 2010.

In 2012, after moving to Lexington, Kentucky, Mr. Boom joined Brett Construction Company as President and partner. BCC specializes in design-build and commercial construction.
