“The Supreme Court of India has delivered justice in Kejriwal’s case”

September 16, 2024: “I welcome the decision from the Hon’ble Supreme Court which has delivered justice in Kejriwal’s case,” said Deepender Singh Hooda, Member of the Lok Sabha from Indian National Congress at ABP News’ Shikhar Sammelan – Haryana on the bail granted by the court.
Alleging the misuse of central agencies, Deepender Singh Hooda, said, “In the last 10 years, BJP has been misusing the central investigating agencies by targeting the strong voices of the opposition parties. Most strong leaders from opposition parties have been targeted by the Government by filing cases. Only allegations have been made but in none of the cases have charges been framed.”
On being asked about the prospects of AAP and Congress fighting together in the state elections, Deepender Singh Hooda, said, “We formed a coalition with AAP at the National Level. At the state level, AAP does not have a strong position in Haryana; while Congress is strong on all 90 seats.”
Discussing electoral issues and politics of Haryana, Deepender Singh Hooda, said “Pehalwan, Jawan, Kissan, and Samvidhan are the four electoral issues in Haryana. The list of Congress candidates, as decided by the party leadership, has strengthened the wave of the party across the state.”
On being asked if Bhupinder Singh Hooda has been denied of due credit for Congress’ strong performance in the state, Deepender Singh Hooda said, “In Haryana, we are fighting under the leadership of Bhupinder Singh Hooda. In past two years, the state Government showed prudence in delegating responsibility to Shri Udai Bhan ji and more than 50 former MLAs have joined the party.”
Speaking about Congress’ performance in Haryana, Deepender Singh Hooda said, “The best performance by an opposition party in 28 states has been recorded by Congress with 47.6% vote share in Haryana. Compared to 2019, Congress had the largest increase of vote share in the state.”
Responding to the people who left the party, Deepender Singh Hooda said, “The percentage of people leaving Congress in Haryana is negligible. In last two years, people have returned to the party.”
On being asked about BJP’s allegations against Congress for fuelling wrestler’s protests, Deepender Singh Hooda said, “I am not going to dignify the person charged for women exploitation with a response.”
