Addressing the Motion of Thanks in the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Congress in its quest for political power has murdered Indian Democracy. It has always tried to destabilize democratically elected governments in various states. It is the same Congress that build narratives including dividing North and South along with destroying the idea of India, jailed its political leaders and censored Indian press, he added. Congress always sought to promote parochial interests like caste, religion and language. It only promoted terrorism, violence and extremism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said. Congress has only led the country into confusion, while also making naxalism a significant internal security challenge. While the Congress made India the 11th largest economy from 12th largest economy from 2204-2014, we made India the 5th largest economy in the last 10 years.
