Football fans be aware of StubTicket and others who are all scammers.

West Midlands, United Kingdom Dec 9, 2021 (Issuewire.com) – For those of you who know Harneet – Harns from the highly anticipated OutOut may know she has had to deal with a few scammers in the past. This has no doubt paid dividends in the end as she can know spot a scammer from a distance. Scammers come in many forms however, lately Twitter the social media platform is becoming a place for fraudsters to do what they do worst. In particular football fans are more susceptible to these types of fraud. Fake ticket sellers are earning more than you and I such as Stubticket.

Harneet has named and shamed many scammers this week alone. It’s got to the point where In the future she’s considering writing a book on how to spot a scammer.

” Social media comes under a lot of scrutinies due to the abuse one may suffer on it. Only this past week I realised Twitter has another big problem – Fraud. Obviously, because of my past, I can sense when someone or something is not legit but not everyone can so I feel it’s my duty given my resources to help a person who falls victim to fraud. I wouldn’t say I’m a fraud catcher but I feel as if I have a duty to help those who reach out to me that have fallen victim to these con artists. On Twitter, there are many frauds I have outed and to give you an idea 15 people in the last 5 days have reached out to say they have been scammed.”

One person, who’s now been confirmed as a single male operating alone known as  @stubticket  is making over hundreds a day from manipulating and lying to football fans. They will Direct message or broadcast that they have tickets in a polite manor. It’s only when the person realises what’s occurred they turn hostile.

Has made a group chat on Twitter because there were too many people reaching out. 
“I made a group chat as all these people have one common anomaly – they have been taken for a ride by the same person – StubTicket. Don’t get me wrong he’s one of many scammers who have been named but this guy, in particular, is a coward. My team and I reached out to him and earned his trust. We wanted to see how he operates. I paid him £100 for football tickets and after I paid him it was intriguing to see how his behavior changed. He refunded me in 24 hours as he found out who I was but my aim was to get everyone’s money back and get him to shut down. I reached out to Twitter as did many others but they did nothing.”

Whilst some have succeeded in getting their money back many are still waiting. Callum John Thomas a Liverpool fan bought tickets worth up to £150 from StubTicket for the game against Aston Villa on the weekend. He knew he had been scammed so reached out to Harneet on Twitter. StubTicket said they will issue a refund when he complained his tickets haven’t arrived. This is what the frauds go to say. No refunds are issued, Harneet was issued a refund as he found who she was otherwise she would have been another victim.

During the festive period keep a lookout for scams. OutOut is available on the Google store and because of what Harneet has seen on Twitter she has added an extra security layer to her app for the next update to prevent this from happening on the application.
