Infinity BiologiX’s RT-PCR Saliva Test to be Provided Free to New Jerseyans for At-Home Testing
Infinity BiologiX (“IBX”), a leader in analytics, bioprocessing and biobanking, is proud to have its RT-PCR COVID-19 saliva test provided for free at-home testing to New Jerseyans.
PISCATAWAY, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Infinity BiologiX, LLC (IBX).
On December 14, 2021, New Jersey State Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli announced that the New Jersey Department of Health will be providing IBX’s RT-PCR saliva test free of charge to New Jerseyans for at-home testing of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. During the State’s Monday coronavirus briefing in Trenton, New Jersey, Commissioner Persichilli said that this free at-home testing program is in addition to traditional COVID-19 testing at sites throughout New Jersey and may be more convenient for people who have trouble leaving the house to get tested. The saliva test can be completed in 10 to 15 minutes at home. New Jerseyans can request a test kit at learn.vaulthealth.com/nj/. Results should be received within 24 to 48 hours after a sample arrives at IBX’s Piscataway, New Jersey lab.
“We are incredibly proud to be the at-home test of choice for New Jerseyans under this Department of Health program.” said Robin Grimwood, CEO of IBX. “We look forward to working with the State of New Jersey as it continues to respond to the changing nature of the pandemic and help to ensure the health of New Jerseyans during this challenging time.”
IBX launched its COVID-19 saliva-test in May, 2020, after receiving FDA emergency use authorization. It was the first test to utilize saliva as the primary biomaterial for SARS-CoV-2, and IBX subsequently became the first company to offer an at-home collection with this approach.
