New York City, New York Jan 5, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – NPower, one of the country’s largest nonprofits focused on free tech training and job placement, has announced the appointment of Stefanie Boles as Chief Administrative Officer.

In this newly created position, Boles will bring strategic direction and leadership to a number of areas that underpin NPower’s continued success, including Finance, Human Resources, Data Analytics, and Research, and Technology Infrastructure. Her experience working at the systems level of organizations and communities will advance the implementation of the four pillars of NPower’s 2030 strategy: Supporting Seamless Transitions, Expanding Learning Pathways, Advancing Systems Change, and Driving Growth & Sustainability.

Before joining NPower, Boles was Chief Financial and Operating Officer of United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut and Chief Financial Officer of United Way of Greater New Haven.

She was named one of New Haven Business Times’ 20 Noteworthy Businesswomen and has received awards from the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women and the New Haven faith community.

“I’ve seen the life-changing impact NPower has made in our communities across the country,” said Boles. “I’m looking forward to joining the mission-driven NPower leadership team as we scale to more communities to make an even greater impact on young adults, women of color, and veterans who want to launch tech careers.”

“Stefanie brings a wealth of experience that will ably position NPower for continued growth and impact,” said Ceccarelli. “Her passion for mentoring led to the founding of the Connecticut Black Professionals Network, which provided opportunities to network and connects formally and informally for many without access. Her background with United Way will open new doors for partners who want to make an immediate impact in our communities. And her strategic and fiscal experience will increase NPower’s capacity for expansion and sustainability.”

Prior to joining United Way, Boles worked as an accountant and leader in corporate law in Los Angeles. Boles holds a master’s degree in Executive Leadership and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Liberty University. She is also a professionally trained musician, vocalist, recording artist, and avid cyclist.

About NPower

NPower is a national nonprofit that is committed to advancing race and gender equity in the tech industry through skills training, real-world experience, support, and mentorships. The organization has helped young adults from underserved communities and veterans move from poverty to the middle class by training them with a range of tech skills and placing them in quality jobs.

Students who enter the free, six-month training program, earn industry-recognized certifications and graduate with the competencies of an IT professional with one to two years of experience.

NPower also places students in paid internships with corporate and nonprofit organizations. Eighty percent of NPower graduates get a full-time job or continue their education. Not only is NPower changing life trajectories for individuals from vulnerable communities, but they are also strengthening the overall competitiveness of U.S. businesses hamstrung by today’s limited pool of IT talent.
