New partnership helps wellness app users monitor stress levels through remote heart rate variability measurement tool

Happitech x Multiply

Amsterdam, Netherlands Jun 8, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – With many people feeling isolated while working very long hours, the topic of mental wellbeing has become very common in addressing stress and burnout in the workplace. In fact, in 2019, the WHO added burnout in the 11th Revision of the International Classification of Diseases as an occupational phenomenon. Employee stress and burnout are global concerns, and companies need to find better ways to support employees in this area. Momentum Multiply, an SA-based wellness and rewards program, has partnered with MedTech company Happitech to provide medical-grade, certified vital signs monitoring technology to their members. Through a scientifically validated screening process, users can now get their Stress Score, which gives them new insights into their stress levels and general wellbeing.

With this partnership, Momentum Multiply is leading the way by giving its members the ability to accurately measure their heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) and understand how it impacts their health. Several studies have found that resting heart rate and HRV are correlated to changes in stress levels. With companies across the globe looking for better ways to help their customers and employees manage stress, companies are looking for innovative technologies to support their initiatives.

“For us, making medical-grade certified technology available to our members is a good step to enable them to self-screen more accurately. We hope that this prompts our members to seek advice from a mental healthcare professional and improve their overall wellbeing” – Johan Kleu, Executive Head, Momentum Multiply

For Momentum Multiply users, the screening process is quick and easy. Users can simply scan their finger with their smartphone’s camera along with a few data points and they will be provided a Stress Score number ranging from 0 to 100 indicating their current stress level. The platform will also provide insights and tips on how to improve a user’s stress score over time. By providing this clinically validated technology to its members, the company has taken a major step forward in helping people improve their quality of life.

Happitech CEO & Founder, Yosef Safi Harb, had this to say about the partnership: “Since we provide the first, and currently the only, medically certified smartphone heart rate variability (HRV) measurement tool, Momentum Multiply can quickly and easily create awareness around the everyday stress levels of its members. We look forward to hearing how these personalized insights can improve stress scores over time.”
