Octavian IT outlines Transatlantic growth plans
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Mar 15, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – Octavian IT, the Nottinghamshire-based Cyber Essentials-accredited IT division of the multi-service provider Octavian Group, is set for expansion in the USA after increasing its team in the States and upping investment in its Cyber Security offering in the UK.
Senior engineers, Eddie Wolfreys, have begun working on secondment to the USA site to directly manage the engineering, client relations and take Octavian IT’s culture Stateside.
Ben Solomon, managing director, said: “We have USA client opportunities and discussions already ongoing, meetings set, and are expecting and aiming to add many new contracts by Q2 of 2022.
“In the UK, we will be focusing a lot on Cyber Security – one step in demonstrating our Cyber Security investment. The government certification Cyber Essentials is changing and will see further changes in 2022 that we will need to be ready to help businesses tackle.”
This investment is backed by Octavian IT recently being named as a trusted partner of Indelible Data 0 a cyber security essentials certification body, plus the new elevation to “Microsoft Silver Partner in Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions”. This further demonstrates Octavian IT’s ongoing investment in a customer service-centric approach.
Ben says the opportunities for his firm are “plentiful” at the moment – on both sides of the Pond.
He added: “The cloud and cloud services are in a very exciting era – MSPs like Octavian IT have the great responsibility of helping businesses select the best cloud technology for them and there is now a huge choice. It’s key to select software and services that will correctly compliment your business and not actually hinder it.
“Cyber Security is a huge area that still requires expertise and experience in order to provide quality consultancy to businesses. If businesses can find their own ways to provide a service or product that helps keep their clients safe, this will be a huge market for SMBs.”
