On 3.14 Pi Day, dePi Army announces initiative to decentralize Pi with it’s Infinite Pi-Based NFT Art

Since 1988, math geeks and culture lovers alike have found plenty of ways to celebrate Pi on March 14, from bakeoffs to scavenger hunts, digit recitation bees to birthday parties for Albert Einstein (it’s actually the same day!). This year, the blockchain world will also join the Pi celebration, with the launch of a groundbreaking NFT called dePi.army.
For those unfamiliar with blockchain, a little background: NFTs (non-fungible tokens), are the digital assets you can trade online with cryptocurrency, usually with art and gaming. Essentially, you can create an NFT, post it “on-chain” (a ledger of interactions), and then make it available for purchase. Think of it as an art auction, only digital.
Unlike most NFTs, which are static images, dePi.army has created something entirely new, inspired entirely by Pi and marrying the best in technology and art.
Here’s how it works: Every 3.14 seconds, 12 digits of Pi generate a scannable QR code that displays those numbers, and form the basis of the color gradient on each piece of art.
