Smart, now simpler: Philips Hue with Bluetooth now available in India
• Now control your Philips Hue bulb and light strips with just the Philips Hue Bluetooth app
• Seamlessly connect with Alexa or Google Assistant
Bengaluru, India – With today’s introduction of Philips Hue with Bluetooth, Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, makes its smart lighting system even more accessible. Setting the mood in your room, whether you are hosting a dinner party or relaxing at the end of the day, is now as easy as screwing in a Philips Hue light bulb with Bluetooth and tapping an app to set up and control.
Customers can now connect up to 10 bulbs and light strips in a room using just the Philips Hue Bluetooth App, which uses Bluetooth Low Energy for connectivity. The app can be used to turn lights on and off, dim or brighten them to the preferred setting, choosing a shade from millions of colors or any shade of white light in addition to the pre-set scenes to match your daily routine.
Excited about the launch, Mr. Sumit Joshi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Signify Innovations India, said, “People often underestimate the power that lighting can have on the ambiance of a room. By adding Bluetooth to our Philips Hue smart lighting, we’re making it easy to experiment and have fun with light at home. All it requires is the smartphone you already have. We’re confident that once you start, you’ll want to keep exploring what else Hue can do.”
Using Philips Hue Bluetooth with voice assistants
Philips Hue with Bluetooth also works with your voice. You can easily control your Hue Bluetooth lights directly with Alexa or Google assistant.
Extend the possibilities
The Philips Hue bridge is still the heart of the Hue system as it allows users to make full use of all the features and benefits. It may be added at any time to expand the system with more lights and smart accessories throughout your home to experience even more features. With the bridge, the entire Philips Hue ecosystem can be accessed including full home control of your lights, away from home control functionality, Philips Hue Entertainment and Friends of Hue and third-party app compatibility. In this case, the consumer needs to install the Philips Hue app and use the option of transferring lights from Bluetooth to the Bridge. The lights would be transferred with the same settings as they were in Bluetooth mode.
