Artist Johnny Otto launches his collection of satirical art featuring characters from Tarantino films mashed together with other pop culture icons!

Los Angeles, California Nov 18, 2021 (Issuewire.com) – Just as Quentin Tarantino has announced his foray into the NFT space with the launch of Tarantino NFTs (https://tarantinonfts.com) and Miramax has followed with a lawsuit claiming ownership, Artist Johnny Otto has launched an NFT Collection of his very own, which pokes fun at films such as Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. Otto’s NFT Project features classic scenes from Tarantino’s movies that have been reimagined, such as PUF DOGS, a satirical take on the scene in Reservoir Dogs where Mr.White (Harvey Keitel) pulls a gun on Mr.Pink (Steve Buscemi), but in Otto’s NFT, Mr.White has been replaced by H.R. Pufnstuf from the children’s show of the same name.

H.R. Pufnstuf was a children’s television series produced by Sid and Marty Krofft in the United States. It was the first Krofft live-action, life-sized-puppet program. The idea of morphing images together for Reservoir Dogs came to Otto many years ago when he was casting a film that he wanted Christopher Walken to star in. After a long conversation with Waken, Otto learned that Tarantio and Keitel had wanted Mr.Pink’s character to be played by Walken but he tried down the role calling the whole project “iffy”. For years Otto had wondered what Reservoir Dogs would be like if it had been cast differently. Of course, casting a life-size puppet was never in the cards for Tarantino, but Otto thought it was a funny idea and so this new collection of NFTs was launched.

Each OTTO NFT (https://twitter.com/Otto_NFT) will be 1/1 and featured exclusively on the Opensea Marketplace along with the rest of Otto’s original NFTs (https://opensea.io/accounts/Ottophobia). Johnny Otto is a visionary artist in the Los Angeles area with a history of doing oddball shows and exhibits. One of his most notable art shows was called Art In The Alley in 1994 when he took over the alley adjacent to Fairfax ave. and hung his art from Beverly Blvd. all the way up to Orange Grove, allowing people to drive their cars through his exhibit. Otto’s work has also been featured in Art Reveal Magazine, Left Bank Magazine, and LA Weekly, and he has auctioned his art for Project Angel Food’s Divine Design with David Hockney and shown in galleries such as Radiant Space, Miller/Novian, Headquarters, 01 Gallery and many others. Otto entered the NFT space in the spring of 2021 and has several collections ranging from high-end generative abstract art to pixelated and playful.

Otto is also the Editor-in-Chief of Art Squat Magazine which features Artists from around the globe (Art-squat.com) and the founder of Out Draw Animation which makes Adult Animation series such as Zombies Whatever, Izzy & Zan, and Sean The Worm.
