[Watch] Solve for Tomorrow Season 2: Explore Team Stemly’s Journey Toward Tackling Gender Bias in STEM and Positive Approach to Grand Finale
Some ideas can potentially change the fabric of our society for the better. The sole member of team Stemly, Yash Yadav, started his Solve for Tomorrow journey aligned with the same vision – to reduce the gender gap and eliminate stereotypes in STEM sciences with his conversational AI.
So far, not only has Yash proved his potential in the competition, but he has also impressed his fellow competitors and mentors, successfully making it to the top 10.
Building Foundation Through the IIT Delhi Bootcamp
The first big phase of the competition took Yash to the IIT Delhi bootcamp, where he received comprehensive training and mentorship from FITT & MeitY Startup Hub partners. Shedding light on his learnings from the bootcamp, Yash says, “The most important thing is knowing your audience. The understanding that the problem that you are solving is something that needs to be solved.”
Taking Leaps by Implementing the Learnings
Giving him a broader perspective on Design Thinking and entrepreneurship, the IIT Delhi bootcamp helped Yash conceptualize his idea into a business model. Talking about this process of development, Yash says, “I talked to the stakeholders, which helped me understand the problem in its entirety. I looked at the financial aspect, built upon it, made a revenue model, and identified business streams for my project so it’s viable financially as well.”
Yash’s Approach to Win Solve For Tomorrow Season 2
As of now, Yash is preparing for the final leg of the competition and refining his idea. Sharing his approach to winning the competition, he says, “I have reached this platform where it’s an extremely big help for my project. I have gotten so much help from Samsung and IIT Delhi mentors. And I wish that even if I do not win, this program will really help my project reach the right audience.”
